Philips Respironics Recall

As part of our commitment to our customers, regarding the June 14, 2021 recall of certain products manufactured by Philips Respironics, we would like to take this opportunity to share some important information and updates with you. Our Poole's Pharmacy Care Respiratory team has been working diligently with the team at Respironics to facilitate the replacement of defective machines for our customers. We registered customer names and contact information along with serial numbers with the Respironics recall program.

Please be aware that

We have no control over the order in which the machines are being sent out.

We have no control over which machine you will receive.

There are over 4 million machines being recalled worldwide. Of these machines, they have reported that 0.03% have been affected by the foam breakdown. There is a correlation between the breakdown of the foam and the usage of cleaning devices that attach directly to the machine.

Respironics should be notifying you by mail that your machine is on its way. However, some are just showing up at the door.

Everyone needs to contact their provider regarding the continued use of their machine vs health risks.

I have spoken with other providers, they are also getting the same information from Respironics and also do not have access to machines until the RECALL has been satisfied.

The machine issue is very frustrating to us as I am sure it is to all of our customers.

The replacements for a CPAP or CPAP Auto will be sent directly to our customers. They WILL NOT SEND THEM TO POOLE'S PHARMACY CARE. When they get to the BIPAP, BIPAP Auto, and BIPAP Auto SV those machines will be sent to Poole's Pharmacy Care. We will notify you when they come in.

We remain committed to facilitating the replacements and appreciate everyone's patience and understanding.
